Today is beautiful! The temperature and blue skies together make for a perfect day. It feels more like Fall today. It's a perfect day to visit The Red and do some hiking. I personally am very excited for fall to arrive. It doesn't get much better than that around here. Campfires, s'mores, hoodies, beautiful scenery... pretty much everything you need to make unforgettable memories with those you love most.

Summer's almost gone...

   

     We were in full swing here at 5 Star Cabin Rentals this past weekend. It has been one of the busiest summers we've seen in awhile at Red River Gorge. The cabins and campgrounds alike have stayed booked up during summer break. We had the pleasure of meeting guests from all over the world, including Germany. That's one of my favorite things about working/living in this area, the wonderful people we meet on a daily basis. The old saying is true, you learn something new everyday!

     Even though summer is coming to an end soon, don't forget about the most loved season, fall! The Red River Gorge & Natural Bridge area are at their peak during October. If you have not had the pleasure of experiencing  the area during this time, I urge you to start making plans now. It's one of the most stunning sights you'll ever see. We have cabins that offer amazing views to catch a glimpse of natures beauty, but they're starting to book up fast for the fall season. It sure is a beautiful day here in Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge. Not to hot there's a nice breeze blowing. A perfect day for a hike. So what are you waiting for come on down and see us. We are booked up for this weekend but we still have a lot of things to offer. Our gift shop called Wild Things of KY is sure to have something to please the whole family. There's gem mining, Kids and adults find this very entertaining, There's goats on a roof, my personal favorite thing to do, those little goats are just to cute. There is also our live animal exhibit that showcases animals that are common for our area. They are behind a big glass wall.

Summer Time!

It's been so busy here in the Red River Gorge the last couple of weekends! July is our second busiest month of the year, and we love it! It's so exciting to meet all of the new people that come down for their first time and also very exciting to see our return customers.

There is only a week or two left of summer break so be sure to visit your favorite vacation place before time is up! We still have a few available cabins for the upcoming weekend if you're looking for a last minute getaway. There are all kinds of fun things for the kids in the area, so try and make Natural Bridge & Red River Gorge part of your summer vacation plans. Our very own Wild Things! of Kentucky has several activities that kids and adults alike are sure to love! The possibilities are endless, so come and see us! Creation Falls / Red River Gorge, KY

Don't let the rain keep you from doing what you enjoy most! The Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge have something to offer everyone, rain or shine. I'm sure about everyone reading this has visited the Rock Bridge Trail that takes you out to Creation Falls. Can you imagine how beautiful the falls is right now!? If a trip to The Red is not in your plans, take a day to drive down and experience all that the area has to offer. Bring a poncho though, it's a little bit wet right now! If you're not as familiar with the Gorge, check out this link to see a beautiful image of Creation Falls. The area has attractions like that and so much more to offer!

While you're here, don't forget to stop by our Wild Things! of Kentucky. They have gem mining outside on a covered deck. You're sure to find something, and kids and adults alike love this activity. It's also a great getaway while you wait for the rain to pass so you can hit the trails! Wild Things also offers an indoor wildlife exhibit that is sure to excite the little ones! They can view Kentucky's live poisonous snakes & spiders up close behind a large glass wall! You can also watch live honey bees fly into their glass bee hive while making honey! Can you spot the queen bee? Before you leave, be sure to check out Ernie, the bathroom attendant. Talk about a hilarious experience!
