The Red River Gorge & Natural Bridge State Park area has had some light snow falling throughout the day today. I've been watching out our front window and it is such a pretty sight to see. I've had customer's come in our gift shop to purchase firewood to keep warm with the temperature's right at freezing! Personally I have stayed close to the heater & have been enjoying my hot chocolate from our Keurig to keep warm :)

A Down Home, Appalachian Christmas

Good Morning Everyone!


Looking for some  activities to enjoy with your friends and family on your trip to the Natural Bridge State Park and Red River Gorge area? Well I have got some great news! This weekend Natural Bridge State Park is hosting "A Down Home, Appalachian Christmas"! There will be different activities from 8am-10:30pm on December 13,2014 like a Down Home Country Breakfast, Pictures with Santa, A Toy Building Workshop, also a Barn Dance where you can learn clogging, line dancing, square dancing, and some waltzes. You may even be able to spot one of our Vacation Specialist from Five Star Cabin Rental there.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It was a beautiful, snowy Thanksgiving morning! We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather to wake up to! One of the many blessings to be thankful for today!

I've had many customers in and out today, checking in to their cabins for the holiday and a lot of customers buying firewood! It's the perfect day for an outdoor fire to sit around! We're open today, so stop on by and say hello and pick up an area coupon book! It's a very busy weekend for the area so it's a good time to come down! Wild Things! of KY is also open today, if you want to do some shopping after your Thanksgiving meal or stop by and see their exhibit with local fish, snakes, turtles and spiders!
