It sure is a lovely day here in Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge. Would be a wonderful day for a hike. Some of my favorite place to hike are Sky bridge, Chimney Top Rock and Princess Arch. All are pretty short but are worth it. The views are incredible. Also don't forget about Nada Tunnel. Below you will find a picture of the tunnel. Can you believe that trains use to go thru there???

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Today is beautiful! The temperature and blue skies together make for a perfect day. It feels more like Fall today. It's a perfect day to visit The Red and do some hiking. I personally am very excited for fall to arrive. It doesn't get much better than that around here. Campfires, s'mores, hoodies, beautiful scenery... pretty much everything you need to make unforgettable memories with those you love most.

Summer Time!

It's been so busy here in the Red River Gorge the last couple of weekends! July is our second busiest month of the year, and we love it! It's so exciting to meet all of the new people that come down for their first time and also very exciting to see our return customers.

There is only a week or two left of summer break so be sure to visit your favorite vacation place before time is up! We still have a few available cabins for the upcoming weekend if you're looking for a last minute getaway. Memorial Day Weekend

It is sure going to be a beautiful and busy weekend here in Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge. WE have a lot going on with the pool opening on Saturday. Also the Lodge at natural bridge is hosting a bunch of different events. They have a guided hike to the natural bridge, live animal displays, a cave tour and ton more. So stop by and check it out. You can also decide to walk the trail if you don't want to opt for the sky lift ride. Either way, it is a beautiful view that you can see for what seems like miles. This is also a very popular place to watch the sunset & sunrise. Keep that in mind when visiting the area!

The Red River Gorge area is popular for the scenic route drive that takes you through the Nada Tunnel on Route 77 around the clifty wilderness and many popular trails. Pick up a map at our gift shop of the Red River Gorge to help you find your way around. We also sell "Hiking the Red" which is a very informative book on the trails in the Red River Gorge and gives you detailed information on each one.

Good morning! Its gonna be another beautiful day here in Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge. Be a nice day to get out and explore. We still have a few cabins available for this weekend. Some of my personal favorite places to visit in the gorge are sky bridge and princess arch. They aren't very long hikes but they sure are pretty. Then my favorite place to hike in Natural Bridge is the balanced rock trail. Its really neat and you get to see a lot of pretty landscapes. So if you are out and about in the area you should go and check these out. Also if you are in the area stop by and get a coupon book from us. You can save money on the zip line and on food. There is also some coupons in there for our wild things of Kentucky. Who doesn't like homemade fudge. I know i sure do. so stop by the gift shop at wild things and try some.  So stop by and see us. Also dont forget there is a sky lift that will take you up to natural bridge it a nice little ride to the top. So there is alot to do here in Natural Bridge and Red River Gorege.  Remember cabins are going fast for the weekend so don't delay call today.

Perfect time to visit!

It's been a rough start to 2015 with the crippling amount of snow we received and now all of this rain. A good thing about the rain though, I imagine all of the waterfalls in Red River Gorge are absolutely breath taking right now! With really mild temps today, it would be a perfect day to come visit the area and take a nice hike to Creation Falls & Kaner Falls! Tomorrow is expected to be a beautiful day, so come on down and stay in one of our cabins for a night and enjoy some hiking trails before heading back home tomorrow! What a perfect end to your weekend?!

Coming up on Saturday April, 4th there will be an Easter Egg Hunt at Torrent Falls Climbing Adventure! It will be fun for families, individuals, and kids of all ages! Participants will look for Easter Eggs while climbing the Via Ferrata climbing course and hiking along the trails. Hunt starts at 11:00 AM and runs until 3:00 PM! Happy Thanksgiving!

It was a beautiful, snowy Thanksgiving morning! We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather to wake up to! One of the many blessings to be thankful for today!

I've had many customers in and out today, checking in to their cabins for the holiday and a lot of customers buying firewood! It's the perfect day for an outdoor fire to sit around! Thanksgiving Festivities

Good afternoon everyone!
This year has been flying by! I am not sure where all the time as went. We are just a little bit out from Thanksgiving (how crazy is that?). We have a lot of people that are coming to spend their Thanksgiving holiday with us at Five Star Cabin Rentals in one of  our beautiful cabins and chalets located in the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge Area.  For those of you that are still looking for a cabin for the holiday we still have a few cabins left. You can call our office at 1(606)663-8858 and we will be more than happy to tell you what cabins we still have open.
For those of you that are coming down to spend the holiday with us they will be having a Thanksgiving Dinner in the dining room located in the Hemlock Lodge at Natural Bridge State Park. The price will be $18.49+tax for adults and $8.49+tax for children.
On Nov.29 from 6:30pm-10:30pm they will be having the indoor square dance at the Woodland Center. Put on your favorite pair of boots and come learn how to line dance, square dance, waltz, and do some clogging. They will also do plenty of dances for younger children. The price is $3 per person and I can promise you will have a great time.

It Is Time For The Holidays

     October has come and gone and now it’s that time of year again when we get carried away with all the upcoming holidays and the festivities that come with this time of year. However don’t forget to take time out from all the parties and merriment to come visit us at Five Star Cabin Rentals in the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge area.

    All of leaves are now falling from the trees here in the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park but allow me to let you in on a little “secret”  this is a beautiful time to be in the Gorge. With all the trees bare you can marvel at all the magnificent cliff lines that the Gorge has. Then when we finally get some snow here in the area it is like being in a winter wonderland right out of a painting or movie.

    We also have some exciting news! Here at Five Star Cabin Rentals we have added another cabin called Enchanted Forest to our company! Enchanted Forest is not yet on our website but you can call our office at 1(606)663-8858 and we would be more than happy to tell you about it.

    So if you haven’t already, be sure to book your next vacation in one of our stunning cabins or chalets. What better way to get away and relax then by renting a cabin in the Red River Gorge and sitting by the fireplace and drinking hot chocolate. Be sure to ask the vacation specialist if there are any activities going on in the area. Although Hoedown Island has shut down for the season they still have the dances in the Activity Center in the Natural Bridge State Park on certain weekends.

November's Finally Here

Our busy October season has come & gone once again here at Five Star Cabin Rental. It has been a wonderful fall season here at the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge area. We have enjoyed seeing our repeat customer's that come to see the beauty this area has to offer in October, go rock climbing, & of course enjoy it all while staying in one of our beautiful log cabins.

November is already showing to be a busy month as well. Our weekend's are looking to be very busy & of course for the Thanksgiving holiday as well. The Red River Gorge & Natural Bridge trails are still open even with the chilly weather. Happy Halloween Everyone

Happy Halloween! And what a start to this holiday weekend! We’ve got SNOW in our forecast!! Not expecting any accumulation though! It’s the perfect time to come curl up with some hot chocolate next to the fireplace in one of our cabins! That sounds like a perfect weekend to me! We’ve still got quite a bit of color on the trees to see also, so bundle up and take one of our many breathtaking hikes in the area while you’re here!

We took a new cabin on board here at Five Star! It’s a beautiful little cabin for two called Beary Cozy! We don’t have pictures up just yet but it’s fully equipped with everything you’d want in a cabin! Also, the location couldn’t be better! There are 3 chalets, Beary Nice, Beary Secluded and Beary Cozy (new one) that are within walking distance of each other. They’re perfect for families or a small cluster of families. Red River Mountain is located directly across the road from Route 77 (Nada Tunnel/Red River Gorge), which is one entrance to the Red River Gorge, so you’re close to hiking and all that the Gorge offers!

If you couldn’t make it down to see the fall colors, don’t be sad! The winter time is just as great of a time to visit Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge! The leaves are gone and you can see the majestic cliff lines! We offer cabins with breathtaking views to show off those cliff lines also!

Good-bye October. Hello November

Wow! I can’t believe October is just about over! It has been a wonderful and very busy month for us here at Five Star Cabin Rentals in the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge area. We have had a fantastic time getting to meet and help all of the guest that have come to experience the beauty that the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge holds this time of year.

This weekend the weather is supposed to be a little on the cold side and what better way to stay warm than hiking! We still have a few cabins open for this weekend so if you are wanting to plan a last minute trip you we still have Elk Lodge B, and Romantic Mountain Fantasy open. They won’t last long so I would try to make a reservation as soon as possible.
